All services available through the Federal Reserve’s online portal have been unavailable for more than an hour.
According to the Federal Reserve Bank Services website, the bank is experiencing a disruption in its account services, the central bank, Check 21, Check Adjustments, FedACH, FedCash, FedLine Advantage, FedLine Command, FedLine Direct, FedLine Web, Fedwire Funds and Fedwire Securities, and National Settlement – all normally available services – which started at 6:18 p.m. UTC today. In addition, all of the access solutions offered by the Fed, with the exception of FedMail, are also offline.
Washington Post reporter Rachel Leah Siegel reportedly received a warning from the Fed that its staff “are currently investigating a malfunction in multiple services” and “will continue to provide updates as they become available.”
“An operational failure by the Federal Reserve has disrupted several businesses,” said Jim Strader of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. “We’re restoring services and communicating with all Federal Reserve Financial Services customers about operational status.”
