Colombian Cryptocurrency Project Kmuschicoin Gains Popularity as Adoption on Local Stores Grows – Altcoins Bitcoin News

A Colombian entrepreneur has teamed up with a Venezuelan teenager to introduce a cryptocurrency in Boyacá, Colombia. The region is now known in the local crypto industry as the home of the country’s most popular emerging local crypto.

Currently over 5,000 people from other countries hold the “Bitcoin Boyacense”.

Kmuschicoin, popularly known as “Bitcoin Boyacense”, was created by Germán Viasus, a local environmental engineer, and José Carmelo Campos, a Venezuelan programmer.

The makers of “Bitcoin Boyacense” say that Kmuschicoin can be seen as the first “environmental cryptocurrency” in the world. It is also currently the most valuable Colombian cryptocurrency on the market.

In fact, in an interview with local television program Testigo Directo, Viasus pointed out that it was originally created to sell shares in Tierra Viva. The company is a Boyacá-based company that converts solid waste produced by beetles into organic compost.

About the name of the Colombian cryptocurrency, Viasus stated that it was inspired by the Japanese word “Kabutomushi”, which means a Japanese rhinoceros beetle.

Campos, who is viewed by Viasus as a thought leader on the technical aspects of kmuschicoin, says they are not stopping to innovate for the cryptocurrency. Among other things, it means creating educational resources and starting wallet apps.

The thought leaders of Colombian crypto claim that over 5,000 people in the US, Brazil, Colombia and Russia already have kmuschicoins. In addition, local shops and restaurants in Boyacá accept payments with the cryptocurrency.

The interview contains videos of some shops with QR codes that accept Kmuschicoin as a means of payment and even make offers when people pay with the “Bitcoin Boyacense”.

Kmuschicoin has been unstoppable since it was made

For the price of a kmuschicoin, a token is worth USD 2.54 at the time of going to press. The coin was trading from $ 0.1 when it was created by Viasus and Campos in 2019.

The Colombian token has skyrocketed, reaching $ 1.5 in 2020. At the beginning of 2021, kmuschicoin topped its all-time high and traded hands at $ 3.9.

According to the creators, a Kmuschicoin buyer is also considered the “temporary owner” of Tierra Viva. One person is only allowed to buy 3.5 million kmuschicoins.
