The Dutch parliamentary elections in 2021 for the election of the members of the House of Representatives, the lower house of the bicameral parliament of the Netherlands, are scheduled for March 17th. 37 parties qualified to participate in the elections, including the Libertarian Party on Valentine’s Day.

Valentine is currently the chairman of the Libertarian Party (LP) in the Netherlands and was the party’s candidate for the 2017 general election. However, his party failed to win seats and received only 1,492 votes. He co-founded the Dutch Institute for Praxeology, a think tank committed to the advancement of humanity by promoting politics rooted in praxeology.

The laser eye meme has been roaming the Bitcoin community since February, with the underlying meaning that anyone who draws the eyes is focused on the Bitcoin price rising to $ 100,000. Politicians, celebrities and investors took part in their profile pictures and provided them with laser eyes. Among them are pro-Bitcoin U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis, who temporarily attracted the meme, and Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary, who activated his laser eyes after announcing 3% of his portfolio in Bitcoin stuck.

The Dutch Libertarian Party has long been a supporter of Bitcoin. In 2014, it was the first political party in the Netherlands to accept BTC donations. A Twitter user said:

The Dutch Libertarian Party is the only political party that takes entrepreneurs, civil liberties and Bitcoin seriously.

He added, “It is time for a new way of thinking. Vote LP. Buy bitcoin. Defend your freedom and end the great government. “

In the Netherlands, the Dutch central bank De Nederlandsche Bank NV (DNB) regulates the crypto industry. In November last year, the central bank told Bitcoin.com News that 39 companies had applied to offer crypto services under the new regulation.
