Etoro’s Gooddollar Basic Income Initiative Aims to Fund 1 Million New Users With New Referral Program – Altcoins Bitcoin News

Registered users are given a G $ 100 incentive for new referrals and G $ 50 for new users as a “welcome bonus”. Etoro, one of the world’s leading social trading platforms, has announced that it will reward the next one million users of its Gooddollar project after launching a brand new referral program.

Stablecoin G $ wants to become a digital universal basic income

Gooddollar is a digital coin and wallet founded by Yoni Assia, the co-founder and CEO of Etoro, in September 2020. It offers citizens worldwide a digital form of the Universal Basic Income (UBI) by issuing a stable coin called the G $. To date, Gooddollar has supported over 50,000 users with its digital UBI, and this new referral program is set to grow even further.

Under the terms of the referral program, Gooddollar users will receive a bonus of G $ 100 for each new invitee. New users will also benefit and will receive a G $ 50 welcome bonus upon completion of registration. Etoro has not yet announced whether these referral bonuses will be capped at a certain amount.

When announcing Etoro’s sponsorship for this new program, Yoni Assia noted:

Real people are hungry to participate in social projects aimed at making the world a better place. We are confident that our sponsorship of Gooddollar tokens for new users will help integrate 1 million users into Gooddollar. This is part of our larger mission to enable more people to experience and use digital currencies.

Our support for Gooddollar provides a new model for how companies like Etoro can use their resources to achieve social well-being by supporting efforts to train and prepare people to use digital currencies in a digital world.

Etoro points out that its reserved crypto asset is currently held by “more than 50,000 users” and states that this new referral scheme will expand the Gooddollar network through this new referral scheme that “enhances the usefulness of G $ for use by global peers “-to-peer commerce and diverse community uses. ‘

Etoro says Gooddollar is being acquired by a growing number of social entrepreneurs who use G $ to fund social projects, including a soup kitchen in Israel and promoting tree planting in Spain.

One of the advantages of digital currencies like G $ is that they can be distributed directly to users through their cell phones, directly bypassing governments. This is a benefit for countries suffering from hyperinflation. Venezuela is one of those countries with one current report in the Rio Times as “one of the fastest users of cryptocurrency in the world”.

To date, users of the platform have claimed over G $ 99 million. Etoros Gooddollar isn’t the only crypto project trying to create a digital form of UBI. Projects like Circles, Myubi, Basic Income Earth Network and Zeropoverty are also experimenting with the cryptocentric basic income concept.
