Since Satoshi Nakamoto mined the first Bitcon block on January 3, 2009, the crypto asset has generated significant returns for investors due to its rapid surge in the past week alone.
The price of Bitcoin (BTC) reached parity with the US dollar nearly ten years ago today, a milestone that many praised as a further step towards adoption. With Bitcoin currently hovering between $ 32,000 and $ 34,000, the price of the cryptocurrency is now the same as a Model 3 Tesla that retails for over $ 30,000.

Institutional gamblers with millions to buy Bitcoin will earn billionaire status just days after 2021. Business intelligence firm MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin bet from August and September is paying off well with its publication.
Assuming Tesla CEO Elon Musk is still holding his 0.25 BTC, the billionaire’s crypto portfolio is now worth around $ 8,100, and Bitcoin’s market cap is approaching that of the automaker. According to data from AssetDash, Bitcoin is the ninth largest asset by market capitalization at $ 611 billion after e-commerce giants Alibaba and Tesla.
The Satoshi Nakamoto-related BTC of 1,125,150 has been valued at well over $ 1 billion for some time. The current bull run, however, makes the Bitcoin creator one of the 40 richest people in the world with a portfolio of around 37 billion US dollars – right behind British businessman Len Blavatnik, according to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index.
As the price of Bitcoin breaks new ground every day, interest in social media has also set new records. According to Josh Frank of The TIE, the total tweet volume about Bitcoin has exceeded that of the 2017 bull run and hit 140,000. More than 70,000 unique Twitter handles publish information about the crypto asset.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin is priced at $ 32,780 after rising 21% in the past 7 days. The cryptocurrency topped $ 34,700 and hit a new all-time high earlier today.
